Save yourself the trouble and get a separate amp to drive the speaker...the bose amp not only is underpowered, it "pops" when the audio signal drops between songs.

The Bose sub is not strong and a separate amp and sub would be better, but this is a cheap solution that can add some bass. The pop issue was also solutioned.

Here is the link to the wiring thread.

Here is the "Pop" problem thread and solution. The fix did eliminate the pop.

As an enclosure that fits INSIDE the spare tire, the bose is great. I still recommend getting a cheap one channel 100W amp ($60ish) to drive the speaker and bypass the bose amp and wire directly to the speaker.

thetz99 did you check the impedance of the driver? 4 ohm, 2 ohm, 1 ohm? It is a Bose driver after all.

You are going to gain match the additional amp to the system so you don't have to worry about blowing the lil bose speaker coil. If you want a bass fill in the cabin, hard to beat this lil enclosure...

I'd be more worried about frying the amp with a 1 ohm load. Guess I'll toss an ohm meter across the driver on the one I have in the basement.
