Just wondering if anyone has the Boston Acoustics Pro60s or even the Z6. Wondering how they sound. Love boston, but not sure about the hard dome tweeter.

Looking at also Diamond Hex, Alpine spx-177r, and focal utopias.

Any input?

The Focal Utopias are my pick from the list, no doubt. Dynaudio was what I chose to buy, but if they didn't exist, it would have been the Utopias.

 

why not polykevlar 165k2p instead of utopia 165w's? the 165kwp is an updated set of the 165w utopia line. they have a more linear response than the 165w's, better crossovers, better tweeter.

you have a quite a few different types of components listed.

if i was a metal tweet fan, i would go with the lotus reference aluminum tweeter and if i was a fabric fan i would go with the lotus reference silk.

so, my vote goes to lotus reference period.

 

i came from an older set of boston pro 6.0's (three way system) and now have Focal poly kev's. i'm definitely a neo fan of the bostons as i prefer their sound over the focal's (not to say i dont like the focals, they sound great, just prefer the bostons).

why not go audition them all? i know my local shop actually carries both boston acoustic and focal.
