Bought 2007...does it have an alarm of some sort?

Default Bought 2007...does it have an alarm of some sort?
The dealer told me the car does not have a "shock" sensor alarm like the aftermarket, but if anyone tries to open your door while it's armed, then the alarm will go off...

Is this true?

There is no alarm at all on the car. It is simply a theft deterrant blinking light. You shouldn't have bought the car if he was telling you lies like that!

I believe that's true. It's not actually called an "alarm" but the siren does go off when you open the door while it's armed.

When it's armed, try opening the door. Then you know for sure. No rocket science needed.
