Default Cabling to ipod in glove compartment: How?

Does anyone have photo and or instructions on how to cable down the tunnel to the glove compartment? I want to mount my iPod there, using a KCE-422i high speed iPod cable to my Alpine IRD-X200 head unit. The cable appear plenty long enough and I saw a photo on iPod mounting description that shows an iPod in the glove compartment.

My question is how do I get into the back of this glove compartment, what screws do I remove? Any help appreciated as I plan to get this head unit installed this weekend.

You can remove the center console by just removing your shift knob and just pull up on the console. Its held down with clips... they give pretty easy. You can get to the rear of the glove box by removing the side vents panels behind the seats.

Mine is in the smaller section of the secret compartment. A lot of trouble to run the cable but I would definitely do it again.

Thanks for all your help. I suggest that since I read the complete sticky thread FAQ that it would be useful to link to the step by step photo guides. I see there are links to Lucid but none of them worked, has lucid gone out of business?

There are photo descriptions for door speaker installations (Door speaker install), head unit install (Head Unit Install) and now this one on the iPod install (iPod Install) that are all excellent sources (even if one is not on the S2KI site).

thanks again
