can you amp up standard unit?

In his case and in his market, MY99. It has to do with how certain countries keep track of model years. He means the first year model.

I had an amp and a sub with oem headunit.sounded really bad,so i got an alpine head unit.

yeah mine is like late 99
hmmz im tryign to find a aftermarket dvd unite but its soo hard because im trying to match it with a DCI

Well i amped my 06 HU using a PAC OEM2 LOC it sounds crystal clear you just need to tweak the adjustments of the PAC unit so it won't get distorted. but it's just as clear as any aftermarket HU.
