Default Standard Stereo & Bass+Amp

Does anybody know if there is an out port/connector for an amp on the back of the Standard Honda CD stereo? (MY53) I'd like to leave the original stereo in and add a bass and amp into the boot.

No there isn't. Any amp for a sub would have to have speaker level inputs.

If you want better bass, upgrade the head unit and door speakers first and add an amp for them. Then add a sub if you feel the need.

Yeh I thought that would be the case! Guess I'll have to invest... oh well. Hopefully it won't break the bank.

Any recommendations of head units that will still work with the dashboard controls?

Modifry makes an adaptor which'll work with most makes http://www.modifry.com/products/dci/index.htm

Alpine units are the most widely used and offer good sound quality and you need to get an adaptor to work with them (KCE-865B http://www.dvbcaraudio.co.uk/product/Alpin...o_KCE-865B.html ). Other good HU manufacturers include Pioneer and Blaupunkt.
