Car Alarm
Sure, but just an FYI -- All caps is seen as yelling at us. It is considered rude by most people on chat boards (not just this one.) You can say: to each his own, but you WILL run into people that will be very put off by typing in all caps. I personally don't care, but I assure you I am in the minority on this.
Clifford is a very competent alarm system the intelliguard series 8000 or 9000 are probably the best bang for the buck. They have a load of standard features and there are a number of optional upgrades available as well. I personally use the Advant guard 4 this is a beast of an alarm system. Hefty price though. But what's a few hundred dollars when you can protect your investment.
The Pager systems are nice but unless you plan to run out to your car everytime someone sets it off then don't bother with it. I recommend anything with a Proximity sensor and a tilt sensor . For the one that like to leave the top down then get a motion sensor too.
I think Clifford Intelliguard has the best dual zone proximity sensor.
Not to mention the wireless immobilizer

Bo_Vien,
I have the Advantguard 4 from Clifford and $1,000 or so is about right
for the install depending on the options --- at that price it should include
what I have as options.
I have the AG4 with Smart Windows, CliffNet Wizard (I can program and save
configs of the alarm with my laptop computer), and a cabin Piezo Siren / Buzzer.
I figured I was only getting one Alarm so I went all out.
However, this isn't a paging system but, I figured, if someone is messing with
my car, probably, there's not a whole lot I can do about it ... short of me getting
shot or shooting someone myself.
Either way, it's trouble.
Using the remote can do all kinds of cool things including SAFELY Remote
Starting the vehicle since the AG4 was designed for use with a manual Transmission.
Plus, it's nice to have quick-touch power windows auto up / down on both sides of the vehicle with Smart Windows. Also, the alarm automatically rolls both windows up when I arm it. If I want, I can roll my windows down easily with the remote as well.
It's a nice setup.
The AG4 is being replaced by the Advantguard 5.
Also, I've heard that the AG5's remote start may not work (safely) with the
S2000.
Go to www.clifford.com and read the manuals for the alarms or go to www.dei.com and check out even more alarms.
An alarm is a personal item and it should only have the features you want.
The AG4 is perfect for me and I couldn't be happier.
I've had a Clifford Alarm on my Jeep Cherokee for almost 7 years now and it's
still running strong ...
Good luck.
