Brian, thanks for the info. Since my wallet won't permit such a nice alarm as the AG4, I decided to go with the Intelliguard 8000. So long as I have a good proximity detector, I'm happy.

Guys,

One other, far less expensive route is:

wlaurent's Hornet Alarm which integrates with the factory alarm wiring for the S2000 and uses the factory
remotes.

Check out:

http://www.azcartoys.com/s2000.htm

The alarm is $120.00 and is partially wired requiring only 9 connections to the car.

Also, check out the following thread for more info:

Personnaly, I wanted the Clifford AG4 and I bought it --- and am VERY happy with it.

However, wlaurent's alarm really is an incredible deal -- especially seeing that the Honda Dealer will
charge close to $1,000 and not be nearly as good as wlaurent's $120 alarm.

Good luck.

Brian

and for a total of $175 (shipped) - WLaurent's alarm ships w/ a proximity detector ($55 upgrade). also, since it's a DEI based system, it will support the bulk of DEI's optional components. (battery backup siren, paging, tilt sensor, etc.)

bang for buck, it's hard to find a better value for an alarm.

Why do they want to charge you guys so much for labour on that Clifford unit? My roommate does them regularily for about $500 Canadian peso's. He was saying most of the options are so easy to set up.

Oh, and just about any new alarm/starter that tag's the e-brake line is a safe starter for a manual trans car.

Please help... I need to install my alarm on my car but need to obtain the diagram that will help me find the proper wires by color & location. If anyone can e-mail me the instruction I would appreciate it... even a Scanned copy would work. Anything so I can get started on the installation of my Alarm.

I've installed an alarm on my other car (Miata) but need the instructions for my Honda S2000, 2001 model.

Thanks in advance,
Erick

no. only if they are directly responsible for the damage you're trying to get repaired under warranty.

most dealers are very open to accepting car alarms.
