Car alarm installation...?
Hello everyone! I am recently going to have a car alarm with all the works (remote starter, keyless entry, trunk, pager, etc..) installed. The only thing that is holding me back is the installation process.
Now the problem is that I dont trust anybody with my car except myself.
If they were to scratch up the paneling, scuff it, or do anything else that I just cant think of right now, are they liable for that damage.?
I am pretty anal with minor details. Even when I do something to my car, I end up beating myself up over it(mentally). You can say I'm a little wacko about this...
Any feedback or experience will be very much appreciated. Thanks guys.

So what are you asking then? Can you do it yourself?
Honestly the simple fact that your asking that kind of question means you might not be the right guy for the job You should find out who's the best installer in your area.
Where are you located?

In Chicago, but I am also wondering if there was minor scratches, scuffs, etc..., is the installers liable for that?

They are liable... the question is will they own up to it? Where ever you have it install make sure you buy the unit from them, also if you have that big of a concern the best thing to do is tell them that. Be upfront do a walk though around the outside of the car and go throught the interior with them. Have them sign off on it that it is free from defect, so if something happens its on them.
