hey everyone

I have an 07 and i think that the OEM sound system sounds pretty good standing still. My old car, which i still have, is a 1999 Infiniti G20. This car has, in my opinion one of the best systems that can rival any car audio in sound quality. The car has a bose sound system with only 4 speakers and 2 tweaters.

To describe what i mean, when i am playing Jazz or any other music with multiple instruments, it sounds like there is a live concert inside my car cabin. Now my question is, what do i do to make my s2k sound like this. I am almost tempted to replace my s2k speakes with the speakers of that car.

Can any one give me any suggestions/recommendation of any head unit, speakers, maybe an amp that i can install in the s2k that can make have that type of sound. And i also want to be able to hear my music when my top is down.

Any suggestions????

If you want to feel like your IN a concert...

How many speakers do you want? Do you want a sub?
you can never REALLY go wrong with jl audio... but from there its really person preference.

Good speakers....
Jl audio, infinity kappa perfect, focal, boston acoustic etc.
Good HU

If you want to feel like you are in the concert...
probably need to get rear panel speakers from lucid.

although my infinity kappa perfect 6.5 inch speakers with jl audio 300/2 amp is plenty loud. Im not adding rear panels any time soon if ever. It sounds awesome without anything else.
Listening to music with top down...
probably going to need about 100watts from you amp and 70 watt rms speakers minimum to get good quality with the top down.

 

ur S will never sound the same as your G20 while driving. just like a person with 20k worth of audio equipment in their S2k will never have better sound than stock lexus premium audio. there is too much wind/road noise.

standing still is different tho...imo doesnt matter.
