Car Audio Shop Recommendations
Okay, I'll give it a shot. After reading a lot about the S-pods and various speakers, I think I've decided to get Crystal CPE60's to replace the front door speakers and CPE50's for the S-pods.
I'll order the door speakers and attempt those first.
What tools will I need?
How do I go about removing the stock door speakers without damaging the door?
Will I need any additional wiring besides what will come with the speakers/
Looking forward to becoming a DYIer.
Thanks.
Tom

Lucid has a few great threads on upgrading speakers, removing the HU, and opening up the door panels. clickie
I know nothing about the speakers you have selected, but I'm sure others can chime in if they will work with the stock HU (I assume you are not replacing that at them moment?).
Lucid also has adaptors for the speakers so that they will fit in the door without you having to make your own adaptor.
Finally, if you are planning on running new speaker wire, there are a few more guides out there. Best tips I have is to make use of a small person to help, use a large zip-tie as your snake, and lube the wire well. I tried to get my 6'2" frame to do it solo and spent 30 minutes in agony trying to work in that space. Had my small wife do it, and got both wires fed in ten minutes.
Edit: I should mention you really only need to replace the speaker wire if you add an amp or get a more powerful HU. I wouldn't bother if all you are starting with is new speakers.
