Cda-9885 and iPhone...what are my options?
So I got an iPhone 4 as a work phone, and am going to use that instead of my Droid now in the car. It worked on my Alpine CDA-9885 for a few days, but them inexplicably stopped, and I think it's not supposed to be compatible with my iphone.
So I have:
Cda-9885
Modifry wired dci
Kce-22i iPod cable
iPhone 4
Is there any way to make these work together? If not, should I just upgrade my deck? I'd prefer not to have to buy a new dci, so is there a current deck that will work with my alpine dci and run the iPhone? Something like the cde-147bt (but I'd use the wired USB port not the BT connection)?

Looked at the manual online here Manual and it says the compatible versions of iPod are:
Fourth generation iPod: Ver. 3.1.1
Fifth generation iPod: Ver. 1.1.2
iPod photo: Ver. 1.2.1
iPod mini: Ver. 1.4.1
iPod nano: Ver. 1.2
So my guess is the iPhone just isn't compatible at all with that headunit.
You can still buy other headunits and still use the modifry DCI. You'll have to go to his site to see which ones will work.

Should be fine. If you want it to charge you'll need a charging adapter though. The compatibility lists always end up being very quickly outdated. Consider that the CDA-9885 was first released in 2007 and the iPhone 4 wasn't released until 2010. I've used a 4 and 4s with my CDA-9886 without any problems.
Have you power cycled the iPhone and checked all connections? Do you have any other IOS devices to test with?
