Default CDA-9887 settings - need help!

I have the Alpine head unit CDA-9887 and looking for anybody else who has this and went through all the calibration settings. I'm at a loss to figure out what to adjust to make my sound better. I did a few quick searches on Google and this forum but didn't really come up with much. If someone can post up there calibrated settings that would be awesome, such as time correction, q curve, eq, etc. (I know I can get an Imprint sound processor, but I got this CDA-9887 cause it already had most of those features built in)

Thanks!

My stereo setup...

HU - Alpine CDA-9887
Amp - Alpine PDX-5 (powering everything)
Sub - Alpine 12" Type-R
Front - 6" Infinity Reference
Rear - 5" Infinity Reference (using S-Pods)
Input - Modifry dash harness / Modifry dash bracket / iBolt phone holder / Samsung Galaxy Note2 via AUX IN

Stereo install pics, for your amusement! (originally used a 12" type-s, but upgraded to the type-r later)

Are you running a subwoofer or aftermarket door speakers? I always leave my EQ on natural that way there is minimal distortion at max volume on certain highs and lows. The natural setting will be what the song was created to sound like.

Both are aftermarket, see list of parts in original post. My EQ is on "flat". You adjust anything else, like time correction? What's your settings?

EQ on flat
LPF on 80hz
HPF on 80hz

not sure on time correction.

Turn volume on HU up to 3/4 volume and turn the gain per amp until it distorts then back it off a smidge.

Get the kit to do an Imprint setup - the difference is very big. Have a read of this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/...alpine-imprint/

Alternatively, have a look at this thread, I've posted up some useful Alpine-related stuff there: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/688...nt-alpine-hus/

Does anybody in SoCal have the imprinting unit which they'd like to "rent" to me to use?
