I am thinking of giving CDT Speakers a try for this summer's driving. They have a ton of great reviews, but there are no retailers in my area. Anybody here have any experience with them in the S or any other vehicle?

 

I have some CDT HD-62s in my '01, and am happy with them,
but can't really add too much other info as I can only compare
them with the stock '01 speakers (awful) and Nakamichi SPC651
coaxs (pretty good, but the CDTs are better).

 

I have them to they are nice and clean sounding but I think Im gonna go to regular 2 ways and get a small sub. I want a little more bass

 

Ive honestly have been hearing things about them for years, but frankly, they never swayed me to buying them. Reasons are simple...

a)They just seem a bit cheaply constructed.
b)They are not a particular bargain.
c)There are plenty of speakers that are tried and true, so unless the new guy undercuts them significantly, why would I, the consumer, give them a chance?

 

Thanks for all the comments, I am in the process of hunting down some shops that have some higher end items. The shop I normally go to is no longer carrying any high end lines since sales of car audio equipment has been dropping since OEM systems in higher end cars are actually starting to sound good.

 

im running the CDT ES-07.2 components and i love them. puts out great bass and very very clear (even with the top down).
