found this at another site, is this really true? for anyone that has the clifford 3.5 matrix ?

Before I remote start the vehicle, I have to disarm the alarm because if I don't the stock alarm will go off. Once the car is remotely started, I can/have to rearm the alarm. The security installer looked up my car on Viper's site and he said there wasn't a way to bypass the stock alarm and that this is how it would have to work. This is okay if true but I could also believe the installer missed something and didn't want to go back in my car to fix it. Can anyone else with a Viper remote start respond to how their remote start operates? Thanks.

I have a the 3.5 with remote start , and you do have to bypass the stock alarm system...... find a good installer that can do it....i have no problems with mine i just hit start and it works no disarming is needed.........and by the way i only paid 180 installed for my system .......
