Default Component Setup

Hey guys,

My car audio sound quality is low, and terrible sounding I need your help.

The setup I have is:
2001 Honda S2000
Alpine CDA-9854L Deck
2 Alpine 2010 Component Type R (crossovers in door)
Alpine MRV-F345 Amp
2 sets of RCA's going to the back
The amp is bridged

What is a good place to start to setup the amp, and the deck configuration? Also how should the wiring to the amp look when bridged + RCAs? I want to make sure I have it setup correctly since I am very new to this.

My goal is to just have a nice sound quality coming out of my deck and so far I feel like crap when my buddy has a OE s2000 speaker system louder and clearer then mine.

Thanks!

Given the equipment you have... your stereo should drowned out your friends.

Here's the manual for your deck:

Who installed the gear?

I did, after doing some research yesterday I found out that I should not be bridging those speakers since my amp is not designed to do that. Instead I should plug speaker 1 into channel 1, and speaker 2 into channel 2. I still will need to run two sets of RCA's to the rear though.

I also made some labels last night to label all my cables positive and negative, left and right.

I was told to disable the defeat option in my deck, and to adjust the parametric eq to whatever sounded good to the ear. I have adjusted my time correction correctly.

Do I need to mess with anything on the amp I planned to set the hz to 75-80, and on high pass. I am not sure what to set the gain or anything else to.

Thanks

Just to be clear, do you have 2 or 4 RCA plugs to go into the amp?

How many speaker wires do you have going from the amp? Are wires connected to all 4 outputs?
