its a SWX-1242D. i hooked everything up and now there seems to be another problem. the sub stops playing bass when i turn it up. it will start playing again when i take out my key and power everything back up again. does anyone know why this happends. no fuses blew out also.

 

I think you should have a professional fix this for you before you break something by mistake.

Did you read the directions that came with the gear you bought? I only ask because your asking questions that really shouldn't be asked, if you had read the directions and a little bit (as in looked at the diagrams)

it doesnt matter.

Connect your + wire to either of the + terminals on the amp. and do the same for the - wires.

 

His Amp is 2 Ohm Stable, the 4 ohm Voice coils should be wired wired in parallel, + to +, - to - on the Sub.
