Convertible Top Control Unit
I am having issues on my AP-1 with the left-hand door window not sequencing (retracting) while opening the top; is there a procedure for resetting the Convertible Top Control Unit or just replace it?
TIA,

I have the service manual too, and have not found a “reset” procedure for the Convertible Top Control Module as well. Thanks for the link about the faulty window regulator, but the faulty ground doesn’t make sense, as the window functions normally through its respective switch. I’m going to try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if that does a reset, if not, then likely CTCM is faulty?

Does autodown work with the driver's door switch (as opposed the roof switch)? If not, it's not the CTCM.
This is a very common problem in early cars - the faulty ground is allegedly in the window regulator itself,
I feel like I've heard it's a bad solder joint but I could be making that up.

Yes, the "Autodown" function through the window switch works normally. So, based on your premise, the window regulator is OK, suspect the CTCM?

Couple more questions:
Does the driver's window go down partially or not at all when you operate the top switch?
Passenger's window goes down completely?
I still think the CTCM is unlikely to be the problem, more likely a bad connection somewhere
along the way. With the Electrical Troubleshooting manual you can find the correct connector
under the right side dash and check if there's a signal on the driver's window down wire.
If someone had reason to disconnect/reconnect any of the connectors along the way, they may
not be seated properly or they may have bent a pin.

That behavior is completely consistent with the window regulator problem - as I understand it,
the CTCM sends a pulse to the window regulator, similar to the autodown from the door switch,
and the regulator goes into autodown mode, unless it doesn't.
I'm surprised autodown works from the door switch though.
If you haven't already, seems worth trying the "reset" methods, but if it doesn't fix it I still think
it's the window regulator, not the CTCM.
