I am looking at installing my new headunit, an alpine cda-105, which i just bought last may, will it work with the dash controls or will i need to use the mod? Also where are the holes in the firewall to get the amp wire to the battery?

yes i looked at the thread already and it says that some alpine headunits are already compatible with the dash controls, i was wondering if anyone could tell me if mine is

 

check if it has a wired remote control. normally itll look like a AUX cable plug on the back of your 105

 

it does have a wired remote

 

Generally when a head unit is described as "compatible with dash controls" it means that you can use a DCI with the head unit.
