from time to time all the sound going in2 my four front speakers comes out of the left front door combo. a mid and tweet with a passive xover. sometimes the sound pulses thru this speaker like the power is going on or off. Checked all the wiring to the door and all the wiring from head unit to amp. a seperate rf amp for the subs is completely unaffected. i'm thinkin from time to time that a sudden bump causes this but at other times it happens w/o any vibrations. i'm thinkin its the amp and plan on disconnecting and using the h/u amp to see. any ideas would be appreciated. amp is a blau pa4100.

 

If that amp has a built in x-over, I would have to say it sounds like the internal x-over is on its way out.

 

On my four channel amp, if the front channel would overheat, the protection circuit would kick and shut the fronts down to a whisper untill it cooled.
