cross over locations?

Default cross over locations?

hey, right now i have my cross overs just sitting in my doors i can hear them rattle some when the doors slams or something... i was waiting till i installed my dynamat on the doors until i mounted them. first though i dont know where to even begin lookin to mount the cross overs.. where did you guys mount your crossovers at in your door?

mine too. that spot was MADE for xovers!! its cool cuz it fits most of them, shields against water, and the base is separate from the actual door panel, so you can use small screws to mount it securely.

You cant put crossovers in that spot because of pillowpants.

if you are using a amp, why not just put it right next to the amp? and run 1 , 4 conductor wire to each door. =)

If they are rattling in the door, did you wrap them in towels to muffle that? That's the first thing I'd do. Fwiw, mine are in the trunk behind my amp board, which is mounted on the back wall of the trunk. Its more wiring, but a lot easier to get at if I ever need to adjust them.

If you have them going from the amp their is 2x the wire and 2x the potential to pick up noise, no?
