Hey john, I forgot... was that floor in your trunk covered in alcantara? Looks like it from the pic.

No the contours are to great, I would have had to stitch it... and I'm not the best at that. So instead I did whats called suede flocking(yes that's the technical term)

You have a color coded glue (mine being black) and this "suede flock" (mine was also black). You paint the part to be covered with the glue and then using this "special" tool you you apply the flock to the panel or part being coated.

In the end it feel very similar to suede.

As it turns out that piece in gone

I don't have any of the latest version from last year... well I do but it was a 2 day rush job and its not up to my standards... so no one will see it. Its going in the trash in 4 days. I'm rebuilding a lot of my setup this season.

Mine are also mounted in the doors; they sit where the plastic "box" used to be. Using the same mounting holes, we used a flat piece of plastic to attach to the door, then to the crossovers:

This setup has been working since 2003. :-D

I have them mounted under the dash. They are out of the way, protected from any kind of weather, and there is only a LITTLE more wiring then having them in the doors.

oh wow nice i really like yours insaneinNC i think im going to do that, if im correct u took off that big plastic bucket and screwd ur crossovers to a piece of plastic then to the door trim? any rattle watso ever? im going to be dynamatting my door at the same time when i do this so wat whole should i put all these extra wires to maximize the dynamat sound.

i could do it the way nearwater4me did but if i do it this way i think i can stick the dynamat all the way across the door and not have to make a whole for that big fat plastic thing to go into.

well i already got all the wiring an everything done inside the doors, i also ripped off all my plastic crape that was on the door because it was falling off and it looked nasty anyways so i plan on dynamattting the entire car door. ill be doing this all soon, maybe sunday so ill have some pics of my whole setup.
