Custom Enclosure Volume how to find?
Guys i have made a enclousure for my 10" sub but i wanted to make sure on how much air volume i have. how can i figure that out? i saw a formula on the FAQ, but can't figure it out!. can somebody explain, in easy terms, how can i know the volume my box has? thanks a mil IA
If your enclosure is not pefectly rectangular or square forget the math formulas.
Do this, get enough small plastic beads (any craft floral place will have this) to fill your sub box and fill it exactly to the max. Don't forget to put your woofer in the box to account for the displacement of the magnet.
Now carefully pour all those small beads into a shoe box or other rectangular box that you CAN measure. Now you can use your LxWxH measurement and you are done
We use this method for most of our round or "Tub" type fiberglass boxes and it is very accurate.
