I've seen alot of people cut the dash and install a multimedia system/ Navi, but i haven't seen anyone custom fit a flip out into the dash. Is there a reason why people choose the whole screen version instead of a flip out? If anyone has done it, please post some pics, I'd like to get an idea of how it looks and what was done to get it to fit.

Have a look in the "Dash Cutting Club". There are examples of both.

The reason people got for the whole screen version is that it is an option in Japan and you can purchase the bezel (RHD) for it from Honda.
