BTW is your car a daily driver?
No, it's not. I honestly would love to do something outragous with my trunk, only because I spent so much on this car already. But at the same time if I could maintain some functionality that would be a big plus as I would still like to use the car for a weekend getaway or two. I suppose this is my biggest decision. If I turn the trunk into a showpiece I loose the functionality, if I keep it simple, I just know I'll be dissapointed somehow.

In that case take the your other car for those weekend trips.... because your not gonna want to park it next to a bunch of people that won't mind their kids banging their doors into your car

Go all out and 86 the trunk space its worth it... trust me! Trunk space is so over-rated

Six 6" subs wont hit as hard a nice powerful 10 or 12. But, its your car.
I agree with you. I dont think they will either. The sub's they want to use are JL Audio 6.5's and according to them they pack quite a punch. I trust theese guy's that do my work (same people did Mikes2K's car) so I'll talk to them some more before I make any kind of decision.

I really like your setup too! Thanks for the advise and the pic's

The car went into the shop yesterday. I struggled all day today trying to decide weither to go with a still somewhat functional trunk space with some added "bling" or to just go nut's and glass over everything. (Just ask Mikey (Mikes2K) how many PM's he got today

The Verdict: I chose function over flash. (sort of) I'll post some pic's when I get her back in 10 day's or so. But just to give you and idea, here's what's goin in.
I already have 1 JL Audio 450/4 amp for the front speakers. This also used to power my old sub. Now it will just do the fronts.

1 JL Audio 500/1 Sub amp
2 JL Audio 8W7 8 inch subs
1 Alpine Ipod interface
Dual Battery setup with switch
Dyna Audio front speakers (sorry, forget the model #)
2 Alpine 7' monitors (this may change) mounted in the trunkspace somewhere

I'll be back in a week or so with the results.....

If its not too late....you are wasting your money on the dual W7s. At 500x1 amp, there is no point on running the subs at 250 a piece, rather than the full 500 for 1. I would get another amp if you are set on 2 subs.

I was just checking out JL's website and their power recommendation chart. According to that yes I'm a bit light on power 50W a side. But 500W per sub is overkill. I believe 300W is what's recommended. I could be wrong though. Check it out and see what you think?
