DCI Modifry on Sony DSX-S300 BTX

DCI Modifry on Sony DSX-S300 BTX
Hi,
I switched from an Alpine HU yesterday to a Sony DSX-S300 BTX.. I have a DCI Modifry working with my Apline. But once I switched over, it didn't work anymore. I went to the Modifry site and tried to follow the switch and everything like that, but nothing seems to work. One thing I notice on the DCI Modifry is that the label have "Apline Modifry", I always thought a Modifry is universal?

from Modifry's FAQ:
Wired DCIs are not as "universal" as the IR DCI, meaning they only work on a
few brands of head units. We make 2 wired DCIs, one supports Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion,
and JVC, and the other supports Sony and Pioneer. The IR DCI supports all those plus
4 more brands. For example, if you currently have an Alpine head unit and buy an Alpine
Wired DCI it will work great, but if you later change to a Sony head unit (or any brand
other than Kenwood, Clarion, or JVC) your DCI won't work at all and you'll have to buy a
new DCI. Same for Sony and Pioneer, the Wired DCI for those brands works only on Sony
and Pioneer.

BTW, as I look at my note, it was a little abrupt and I hope you didn't
interpret it as an implied "why didn't you see this" - Modifry's site has
a huge amount of information on it and it's easy to miss details, and I
was just trying to point it out.
