Default DCI and Mute and ATT

I recently installed a Pioneer dehp770mp, ipod adapter and Modifry's wired DCI. When I wired it I hooked up the mute wire to the DCI. When I press mute on the dash it mutes the deck. When I press it again it ATT. Sometimes it un-mutes. Basically it seems that it is getting the signal to mute and att at the same time. I would prefer to have it ATT and never mute. Anyone have experience with this?

Other than that I love the system. Huge improvement over stock and being able to use the ipod is great.

I'd check that your wired DCI connection tot he head unit (the minijack plug) is properly seated. I had weird button behavior when mine wasn't.

Also, in the menus (on my pioneer 6700, you access them with the unit off by holding function for a few seconds) you can choose whether the mute lead mutes, or atts... worth looking into

Good luck

turn the power off on the deck then hold in the huge knob/button for 5 seconds until the menu pops up. turn the knob left/right until you get to the mute/att option. choose accordingly.

it's explained in the back of the manual.

i have a 770mp with the DCI and it works perfectly

I changed that setting but now it cycles through two differant types of mute. Did you hook up the Mute wire along with the plug in connections?
