I have just finished wiring up my pioneer HU to the modifry dci. all the functions are working correctly including switch tracks but my mute button on the dash doesnt do anything.

Is this a headunit setting problem or did I wire something wrong? I wired my thinnest purple wire to the thinnest purple wire (mute wires) from my DCI to the harness. can someone help me out?

 

also there doesnt seem to be a way to turn off my headunit. I can turn it on by holding on mode but i cant turn it back off.

is there any way I can either mute or turn off my unit just using my dash controls?

 

btw this model doesn't have a mute button on the system. you can only use the remote to mute the sound.
