Anyone using this? Will just the VSD unit display the RPM and speed without any other equipment other than the ~$250 VSD unit?

What are peoples general opinion of the VSD? My last car had a HUD and having one in the S would be very nice in terms of hitting the shifts just right.

 

it might look redundant on the S w/ stock digitral speedo. watching RPM in numerical form "ie 6850" might not work if you want to hit shifts right since the numbers change so fast. just get that beeping shift thingy i forgot the link.

 

I've seen the shift alarm. THat was my other thought. It looked like the HUD has a shift light too, but no alarm.
