DIY AP1 PIE AUX install
I doubt it will even take that long. Who ever had my car before me didnt install the deck properly when they stuck the OEM one back in, once I pull off the door, it just slides right out. It shouldnt take much more than 15-20 mins.
The fun will be ripping out the CD changer, flippin hate that thing.

The hour estimate was including the soldering of the wires onto the panel mount jack. Still on a difficulty level 1-10 i say it was a 2.
I love the sound quality and the ease of use. It acts just like the CD changer, the car has no idea it is not.

Sorry to bump an old thread... but what is everyone buying nowadays to add the AUX to your AP1's? Apparently the PIE HON98-AUX unit is now discontinued. Just want a recommendation on a unit like this that works well; this PIE unit had such a good reputation, its a shame its not made anymore.
Others just replace the head unit.
