I've always wanted to run a set of grounding wires but have heard both pros and cons. I figured I could make my own and if nothing happened, I'm only out a few bucks rather than $100 plus for ready made kits. I chose to ground 5 points: Head, Body, Block, Alt body, and Crossmember. I checked each spot with a multi-meter to make sure there was an active ground.
I used 8 gauge multistranded cable and crimped then heat shrinked the connectors. Overall I'm satisfied with my results. I did just a quick check last night(finished at midnight) with the grounding adapter on/off the car. In my case the car idled smoother and the HIDs were brighter/crisper. The engine did not lug or slow down when the HIDs are turned on. Now take this as you will. I do not plan on dyno'ing either. Just something I did cuz I'm crafty and cheap
Here are the pics

Body. I chose this spot as there is a group of wires.

Sorry to hijack but what are the cons to running a grounding system? I have only heard that it might reduce current drag to create a more stable idle but never heard negative consequences except wasting money.

The con to a grounding kit is that it does nothing but add a bunch of wires to your car. You have a better chance of getting more horsepower from a carbon fiber hood than you do a grounding kit.
