I just bought a pro ground system that came with some sort of little metal box which connects to it as well. Whats this box for? Where would it go? On my battery? Its about 1 inch thick and about 4 inches long.
I've always wanted to run a set of grounding wires but have heard both pros and cons. I figured I could make my own and if nothing happened, I'm only out a few bucks rather than $100 plus for ready made kits. I chose to ground 5 points: Head, Body, Block, Alt body, and Crossmember. I checked each spot with a multi-meter to make sure there was an active ground.
I used 8 gauge multistranded cable and crimped then heat shrinked the connectors. Overall I'm satisfied with my results. I did just a quick check last night(finished at midnight) with the grounding adapter on/off the car. In my case the car idled smoother and the HIDs were brighter/crisper. The engine did not lug or slow down when the HIDs are turned on. Now take this as you will. I do not plan on dyno'ing either. Just something I did cuz I'm crafty and cheap
Here are the pics
Grounding adapter block
To the valve cover/head
Body. I chose this spot as there is a group of wires.
Block
Alt mount bolt
Crossmember
another thing you should do is upgrade your main battery to chassis with 0ga and then the positive battery to the positive alternator with 0 ga as well.

Does it have a blinking light? If not probably just a manifold to attatch all the ground wires to like my L bracket.
