Default DIY instructions for radar hardwire?

are there any DIY instructions for hardwiring a radar detector in the S2K?
Also, I'm getting the following wiring kit w/ mine--is that just a ground wire and power wire in the picture?

Thanks!

I already did but didn't find anything. Is there an old DIY thread on this that I'm missing?

Thanks!
So is the piece that plugs into the extra space on the fuse box a male spade connector or a female connector (the male spade part is in the fuse box slot)?
I'm asking because it looks like the s2000.org writeup conflicts with another writeup I found on this board (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32749)

It can plug into any accessory power source. I had my radio out so I just tied it into the acc. power on that and a ground. You just don't want to over load the fuse so if things stop working you'll know why.

Ya I understand that, I'm just wondering about he actual physical piece that you crimp on the wire to plug into the fuse box, what does it look like? I've seen conflicting info that it's the male spade piece or the female sleeve (and the male spade piece is in the fuse box)--so which is it?

My hardwire kit came with the female sleeve that the male spade (also supplied) plugs into. Mine was an escort hardwire kit though.

If you have a V1, it's a male spade that comes crimped to the Hardwire kit. You need to cut it and replace it with a female spade. Once you do that, it slips right on and you should be good to go to plug right into accessory port #3 for power that cuts out when the ignition turns on and off. I just did this with my install.

Thank you, that's what I needed to know!
This DIY looks pretty easy so that's always nice!
