do i need a cap?
my system is pretty much set up (cept i have a temp amp feeding another small amp i am using for my jbl 12 inch sub)
well the problem is that when the system is turned up past 10 the sub cuts out - it's fine around 4 or 5
my main amp was sent back to soundstream to be repaired and i should have it back in a few weeks but i can't seem to figure out why the sub is cutting out

ok a little reading tells me i don't ned a cap - all this does is store power and will feed it to the amp when it need to hit the big thumps - so my clipping is coming for something else
tell ya this system will be great if i can ever get it to work properaly

Hey Steve,
have you checked your connections? someone i know said his sub was working properly, it would "cut out" or not be loud at all.. he has one connection that wasnt properly connected... try checking every connection and make sure they are in all the way.. hopefully that can solve your problem

It's really not that loud though
really - the sub is cutting out
really - the sub is cutting outYou have a band-aid system right now. Nothing like what you had and what you're going to have.
Live with it until you get your amp back or... go buy another amp.
YOD88, It's not the connections... it's the user.
