Default door speaker fit

Hi All
Please excuse the rookie question, I'm not a car audio guy. I rely on Crutchfield for fitment information. Upon searching for a component set, it came up with a single set from Kicker http://www.crutchfield.com/p_206DS62...-2.html?tp=106
Seems like it's a pretty basic 6 1/2" speaker. Any truth to this being the only fitment? What makes this fit versus other speakers?

Tips, links, etc would certainly be appreciated.

Bill

Speakers in a s2000 are a 6.5in speaker. You'll need to use a speaker spacer to make the speaker fit though. You can reuse the basket that comes with stock speakers, you'll just have to cut the bottom out of it, or you can buy a 1" speaker spacer, or you speakers may come with one.

I installed Polk MM6501 speakers in my 2005 with no problem. I used the supplied spacer and eliminated the stock basket.

I use HERTZ ecx 6.5" component set in my ap1 and they have very large baskets for what they are. I use 1/2" spacer rings and they fit perfect.
