Default DVD in rearview mirror?

I know some of you won't see the point of having DVD in the rearveiw mirror but for what its worth I won't be driving and watching at the same time....

So my question I think is sorta simple.

Could I use a DVD/CD/tuner headunit and hook it up to a SAVV Rearview mirror monitor and be done? It seems like that would be to easy? Am I missing something?

If it is that easy, do you have any recommendations for the headunit?

Thanks,

Yes you can. gets you the pimp points too....

Its easy, just wiring would be tricky (hiding the wire off the windshield)

Panasonic, Alpine make great single DIN mp3 head units.

cool. ok so Im looking at these 2 recievers and would like you opinions on them. Which is better?

Panasonic CQ-DVR592U
and/or
Pioneer DVH-P5000MP

Also on Crutchfield.com it says I will need to modify and mounting bracket for either of these to fit. What does that mean? I believe the are both 1 bin recievers.

Thanks

FYI: Have you seen the SAVV monitors in person? the resolution is not the same quality that a stand alone monitor will give you.

I've seen a SAAV rearview mirror monitor. They are HUGE, especially in this car. Bear that in mind.

Doesn't compare at all to say an Alpine monitor with RGB inputs. But it is acceptable for video feeds.

Yes, but imagine a mirror with approximately 4x the surface area of the stock mirror. You also need to remount the mirror mount about 1/2" to 1" lower or the SAAV hits the domelights.
