Default dynamat

well i got two 10's. and i must say it bumps well, but rattles like crazy. i was wondering how many people with subs in there s2k's have dynamated their trunk. i was gonna just do the "trunk lid" i guess you can call it, but i didnt know where to place the dynamat. since the trunk is actually 2 pieces im confused. i saw some guys just put the dynamat over both the 2 pieces, and some pictures i saw had the dynamat under the top, or 2nd piece. so like a sandwhich. um.. im new to all this stuff, and have all the tools, but can someone help a noobie out?

Before you weigh your car down, find the rattles, and get back to us. Putting on layers of dynamat for no reason is expensive, and not necessary. I have 1 rattle that I am in the process of eliminating....its the plastic cover that the top sits in. It only happens whent he sub hits a really low low long note. Nevertheless, I eliminated ALL my rattles without one piece of dynamat. Just target them and youll be able to solve this. Dynamat is better for sound insulation rather than rattle stopping. The rattles the s2000 has in the trunk cannot be solved with Dynamat (trunk mechanism, top holder, etc)

Agreed. I have 2 layers of FatMat (got it on ebay) in my Toyota Tacoma single cab on the floor, roof, and back wall. It used to be so bad that going down the interstate at 70 meant yelling a whole foot across the truck so the other person could hear. Now, we can almost whisper and are able to hear. It does wonders for sound insulation. But then again, s2k owners have a convertible. Unless you have a hardtop, you are better off investing somewhere else.
