I finally got around to doing this. I've had the bulk pack sitting around for nearly a year, and was dreading doing this...do to having to completely rip apart the trunk and dismantling my system with the added annoyance of disconnecting my battery requiring the complete re-programming of the stereo settings. And I had everything customized. i.e Parametric EQ settings, Crossover, Time Delay, Alpha named radio stations, etc...
BTW, for those wondering...a Dynamat Bulk pack is enough to do the trunk, gas tank area and passenger side floor...that's it. I'm going to need to get another package to do the driver side floor and doors...Actually I think about another half pack would do it, I'm four or five sheets short.
Anyway heres's the pics of the trunk/gas tank area....
Plus I plan to cover the pieces in the deck lid with something. Leather or Felt, I guess. I'm open to ideas if anyone has any.
I got the bulk pack on eBay for about $120.00 shipped...plus my time to install.
I definitely notice a reduction in road noise, and it helps push the exhaust note a little farther back. But we're certainly talking about the laws of diminishing returns because the difference isn't dramatic. And of course I just hear wind noise all the more now.

are you running a sub?
Yup. Here's what the trunk looks like all together.
Oh...also thanks for the tip Jeff. I've met Jim (PAS2KNUT), he helped me with both amp racks. Well, actually he made them while I watched and handed him tools as needed. LOL. But I think I just want to cover the individual panels I stuck the Dynamat in. I'm still thinking leather, maybe with an embossed S2000 logo in the center one.
I think the bass sounds much tighter and less muddy now. The lid (I assume you mean the grill cover over the sub), does sit flush. There's about 2-3 inches between it and the sub to allow for the excursion. Plus I can fill the trunk full of crap without worry of damaging anything...except for the amps getting pretty hot, but so far they havn't gone into protection mode, so I guess it's ok. I should take a picture of it with 2 sets of golf clubs, jackets and shoes stuffed in there.
