Default Eclipse iPC-106

Has anyone hooked up this iPod adapter yet?

Eclipse Tech Support confirmed it's backward compatible to units manufactured over the last two years for those thinking about it.

Update, It is some what compatible with the older units for the last 3 years. You will not get full function on some of them though. The new units Cd5000 and up will give you full Ipod capabilites, even more so than any other Ipod adapter out there.

Please post more info as it is available. The shops in my area that stock Eclipse have no clue what to do with an iPod. All they know is 5000 watt amp and ported box.

You can access playlist, albums, artist etc... Track titles and names will not show. It will work like a changer. Disc 1 playlist, disc 2 artists and so forth. Not all the songs may show if you have a ton of music. For example Artists, 200 artsist a-z, you only may be able to access a-f.

I actually just recently completed an install of an eclipse CD5000 with the iPC-106.

My research led me to the same answer you got from revhi. Only the current lineup has full ipod capabilities. Older units might support the connection but you only get limited functionality.
