Default Eighteen hour install almost done!

Well, after a grueling 18 hour day, I'm almost done! I still have to mount the crossovers and amp to the amp rack and dress some of the wiring, especially near the footwells, but that's about it. I did not expect it to take me eighteen hours to get this far.... I'll post a full writeup when I've got it all cleared up.

The only problem I really haven't figured out yet involves the woofers -- I have the "upgraded version" of the 165K2P. I used Lucid's adapters, but I ended up using the extra depth kit, and now the doors don't quite seal right -- the bottom front clip doesn't engage. I'm thinking about taking the doors apart again tomorrow and trying to use a few spacer nuts instead of the extra depth kit.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Yup, just trim the plastic ring on the door itself. Once you do that the door panel will go right back on.

A standard utility knife or sharp blade will do the trick, don't need any fancy grinders, ait tools or hacksaws and alike!

I ended up fixing this problem by removing the spacers from the extra depth kit's ring and using two spacer nuts instead. Fits perfectly now!

FYI, the bottom front of the door panel (lowest part of the door closest to the hood) doesnt seal from factory, so if this is your issue, there is no issue.

The bottom front white snap connector wasn't staying snapped in. It does now that I've adjusted the grommet spacing -- definitely a fitment problem, although I didn't think to take a picture of that part of the door before I started.

You're going to like the Focal's I have those exact same speakers and they are simply awesome!

Treat the doors to dual layers of dynamat and you practically won't need a subwoofer if you have enough clean power to run them.

What amp are you using?

here's my setup:

Where is everybody buying their K2P's? I googled it and there are no US dealers? I'm looking to upgrade my 06 Spa and would like to get the best components I can find. I'd never heard of these before and so am intrigued to know more.
