Here are the components I installed. I must say I am very impressed with the new HU and sub. I have an off brand amp but it does the job nicely.

I was very happy with how the HU turned out. I was afraid I would have to use a magnifying glass just to watch movies. The picture is crystal clear and shows well. It has a motorized faceplate with optional angles you can choose for the best view. My brother who does not impress easily thought it looked very good.

I have always been a fan of JL Audio subs. I have owned the older model subs before and they performed great. I can't believe how well the new model subs sound. I got the 10W1V2 with the JL power wedge box. The box fits perfectly in the trunk. For being the low end I can't imagine what the W7's do, they must blow the trunk off. I was afraid of trunk rattle but it seems all the sound goes into the cabin. I have some more tweeking and tighting up on things but the rattles are not very bad at all.

I will eventually get some videos posted on streetfire of the dvd player and sub install.

If anyone is close by my area and would like to see the dvd in person or hear the sub I would be happy to show them to you.

Well I thought I was done with the install but I found out my cheap amp really was cheap. I had it tested where I bought the JL Speaker from and they told me it was only pushing 146 watts out of a promised 450 rms.

I ended up buying a soundstorm amp which made the JL sound like a new sub. I guess the saying is true. You get what you pay for.
