If you run the wires as I discribed in that "how-to" you shouldn't have any whine what-so-ever from the wiring.

Power wire should be run seperate from the RCA's and the speaker wire. As for RCA's they should be at least twisted pair style, and if you can spare the few dollars shielded as well. Twisted pair speaker wire is a good idea also.

Running the RCA's and the speaker wiring down the passenger side is the safest way to keep the wires as far away from any power as possible. Then run the Power down the drives side. All the grounds should be made with in 18" or so from the amps in the back of the car, making sure that the grounding location has good metal to metal contact to make sure the ground is good.

So i'm still getting this whine actually even with one amp.. its just a lot quieter. I've confirmed my power wires runs down the passenger side door sill. All the RCAs and speaker wire run down the center console.

I actually can only hear it right when i start the car up. Once the music comes on it becomes very difficult to hear to the point i probably woudlnt even notice it if i werent looking for it. It doesn't bug me that much, but i would like to get it right if possible.

The RCAs are stingers but they look the be the lowest/cheapest of their line. Would the quality of the RCAs be causing this? Should i buy something more expensive?

Here is all my gear if it matters

Alpine 9827 HU
Alpine Crossovers
Alpine Type R speakers up front, and also type-r speakers in the S-pods.
Audison 4 channel Amp

I cleaned up ALL the wiring under the amp rack, it's all to length and zip tied now.

Thanks guys.

A few more thoughts:

Oh, my crossovers for the s-pods are right next to each other. Could this cause the noise? How far apart do they need to be? They are also quite close to my distribution blocks as they are mounted to the amp rack.

Are the passenger door sill and the center console far enough apart for signal cables and power to eliminate that as a possibility?

The power comes from the battery in a 4 awg cable. i had two amps before so that so the 4 awg goes into a distribution block and the other side comes out as 8 ga. Since I have removed one amp that was originally used for the sub that
