Engine Management
Hey S2K fam, i've been thinking bout putting a turbo on my baby in a few months its stock now minus a Injen intake, and T1R 63 V2 Exhaust, im doin a custom trubo kit with the guys @ my local shop (Monster Motorsports) the suggested an AEM management Unit but im not a big fan of AEM but i've heard great things but the greddy's, ok after all this here is my question, can i buy the greddy and install it run with it for a few months till i get the kit together and i can put it in?
I had mine in for a few weeks before I had it tuned. Just set the dip switches as was suggested above.
You have to make sure that all the internal jumpers are set right and even that the harness is correct as well. A lot of people complain about it but it is very possible their unit is configured wrong for the S. My tuner found several jumpers set wrong and noted that the "plug and play" harness sold by Greddy doesn't have all the proper wires for some features. The boomslang seems to be the best way to go in that respect.
