EQ Installation Ideas?
After a few months with my Alpine 9815, I've decided must have a real eq. All the menus annoy the crap out of me. Has anyone installed an old school slider style 9 or 11 band eq? If so, where did you mount it? I'm looking for it to be accessible from the drivers seat.
I've tossed around the idea of mounting it in the glove box, but I would rather have it accessible without having to open a door. I've also considered replacing the change holder with a small Pioneer 5 band. Any ideas?

The Raptor has one under the dash on the passenger side, I think. Looks like it clears the passenger's knees without any problem.
I haven't heard these Eclipses myself but you may want to check them out. I saw them in the product catalog when I got my headunit. These have several sizes to choose from. The smallest one could probably even be mounted under the steering column without getting in the way or vertically, hugging the center section to the left of the radio.

Thanks for the link. I have an old Pioneer 9 band that I will probably use. If I have to go smaller, Kenwood makes a very small 5 band. Hopefully someone else has a few more installation ideas. I still haven't come up with a solution that I'm truly pleased with.
Oh, I marked it so it would remin me to put a comment later.
I was basically gonna say that I had poked around with the idea of adding an in-dash eq in the past but there was really no easy way of doing it--short of cutting up the dash or glassing on either side of the center console.
My solution?
I put in a 4-way, all-active system and a deck with a 4-band parametric eq. With some tuning, I think I have a pretty nice response curve and enough control up front to make me happy
