Default Escort 8500 X50 hardwire help

I just got an X50 and bought a hardwire kit off of ebay. I am having trouble installing it.

I've found this guide, but it's unclear as it seems to use different parts to tap into the power.

Here are some pics of what I have.

I would like to tap into the third "ignition" hole just like this, but my beige connector is male and so is the ignition switch.

How can I make this work?

Yup... there are lots of different sizes, so make sure you get the right one.
