Was this ever done?
I want a sub in the cabin and preferably in the passanger footwell area. I have been searching and reading for days now on 6.5in, 8in, and 10in subs in the passanger footwell, under the dash, and the different ways it has been done. I have tried thin powered subs such as blaupunkt, boss, etc. and they are just a waste of money and leave you wanting more but the only decent alternative right now. My question is has anybody ever produced there enclosure to produce and sell besides the trunk versions??? I would think the interest for these would be very high and worth somebody's time and effort?? Comments???
look at the pioneer premier 8" sub, and pioneers enclosure for it. IF you take out that foam that is under the carpet you may be able to fit 2 of them in there, but one no problem.
Both of those locations have been done before. If your going to use a shallow mount sub you need to make you have it tuned properly and you have a good quality sub.(JL, Kicker, Pioneer, there are a few others that are really nice... however Boss is not one of them and I wouldn't trust a Blaupunkt sub either
)
I have a new Kicker 6.5 sub showing up today that I'm going to be installing in the secret compartment... I'll have pictures of that I hope Sunday night.

I actually hate those two brands as well but figured i would give the blaupunkt a shot and it was returned just like I thought it would be. ....so has anybody ever produced these different enclosures to sell at all??? Jl 's slim line only comes in a 13in and it requires a huge enclosure which kind of defeats the purpose???
No one ever made them forsale. I have the Pioneer 10" slimline that hits pretty good. You should check that one out. Its fairly cheap and sounds good. I haven't heard the new Kicker ones yet but I've like how hard other Kicker subs have been so I would be willing to bet they sound good as well.
You could make a slim line sub box to fit behind the drivers or passenger seat though. Wouldn't be to much trouble.
