Passenger Footwell Sub

Passenger Footwell Sub
Hi all, im wanting to build a footwell sub kinda like the Modifry Footwell Sub but i want to use a 10" (or 8" if i have to) shallow mount sub so i can have more room to play with (and not have to cut a hole in the firewall).
Which would be a good sub for this application? Dont have an idea of cuft of the enclosure.. but, i want as shallow and powerfull as possible.
These have been the subs ive looked at and the Prices are decent...
1) PIONEER TS-SW1041D ::: Depth: 2.88"
2) PIONEER TS-SW251 ::: Top mount depth: 3-1/10"
3) Which ever you recommend..

I think the hardest part is finding a sub that requires a small enclosure volume. BUT if you are gonna cut the floor like modifry. I would get the Rockford Fosgate P3 slim fit, but it needs quite a bit of airspace.
