Factory door speakers sufficient for clean sound?
First of all, let me say I am not looking to build a competition level stereo. I would just like to upgrade and have a little better sound with some bottom end. A few years ago, I had an Integra GSR with factory tweets. I replaced the head unit and threw in a small Alpine amp and JL sub. It sounded very nice....much better than the "premium Bose" in the g35 that came next. I would like to try this in my 07 s2000 ...or should I just blow an extra $200 on some components.
currently i am using the factory door speakers, but i have a 4 channel running the insides and a mono amp running the type r 12, and it sounds very nice. if your looking to keep it simple w/out haveing to spend wads of cash just run the factory insides and you'll be happy.
A good HU is the start to good sound, and you will be happier with one. The nice thing about the audio system is you can upgrade it in pieces. Add the HU, if you don't like the sound or blow a factory speaker, upgrade the speakers. If you then want more volume, add an amp and wiring. If you then want more bass, add a sub.
the factor speakers are cheap mine cracked that car you need deck with 4 volt pre-out or higher for clean sound speakers and amp i did that 1st it made a world of a differences good speakers are the alpine type Rs new design if you're a budget person polk audio's db 6500 lot of people saying the best bang for your buck i'm change the amp and need to get speaker wires and rca cables the factory is like 15watts pre speaker $200 bucks isn't going to buy you much for sound honda factory sound systems sucks
