Wonder when these will sell for and when? Didn't think they were gonna do it.
Theres a pic at the site.

I never thought I'd be interested in a JVC HU either.
But, this is exactly what I've been looking for and don't see any other manufacturer making anything close.
Just wondering when and how much...

Seriously. Me neither! The HDD option is amazing. Alpine had a HDD setup a while back, but it was CRAAAZY expensive (I think it was like $1200 last time I checked) and there are pretty much no replacement parts, as very few were ever made.
I am going to be getting in on Darkknight's rear-view group buy in a few weeks (waiting on first paycheck), so I need a DVD head unit, and JVC's appear to be the most reasonably priced. I am using my amps for most of my tuning, so the unit's internal amp is not really a concern for me.
Anyone heard of a price range for this one? I am assuming it will be above the AVX2...

quite interesting...
that's a lot of gear to cram into a single DIN unit. i'm not sure i'd have any use for this in the S, but i have been looking for something similar to this for the Ody.
good find, thanks for posting.
(also, FWIW i have had a couple JVC HU's in the past - like 10 years past - and they were reliable performers for me... a bit on the awkward side to use, but generally reliable otherwise)

JVC is one of the best electronics brands on the market, period. There certainly is nothing wrong with them.

actually they are not, i sell car audio/video systems for a job, and they are by far the worst brand we carry (pioneer, kenwood, sony, jvc, etc) they have had issues with their faceplates for ages.
But for the features you get in a 1-din unit, with a 3.5 " screen. with HDD, DVD, and NAV. I'm all over it. Exactly what I've been looking for.
AS far as consumer electronics go, JVC is in the top 3. TVs, Stereo, etc etc. All their technology eventually trickles down into their outer markets (car audio).....
Pioneer in my experience has been the worst headunit maker Ive ever dealt with (talk about faceplates, none of them ever lasted more than one year) closely followed by Sony. I am told that Pioneer units today are better, but Im still an Alpine fan, until it does me wrong. A few of my friends have JVC radios, and there were no issues, and the sound quality is great.
YMMV.
