Default Fitment limits for WLAURENT Sub enclosure?

I've bought a second-hand WLAURENT enclosure, and I'm thinking of upgrading the sub that's currently in it.

However, I've no real idea what the fitment limits are. (Tried a search, but aside from some lists of subs that will fit, nothing that helps.).

For example, I'm thinking of a Boston Acoustics 8.5LF. There site lists the mounting depth as 4 3/16". Any ideas if this will fit, or more helpfully what details I need to know if a sub will fit or not.

I'm pretty much an ICE novice, so any thoughts/suggestions welcomed. (The sub will be driven by a JL Audio 500/5)

i don't know what the fitments are, but perhaps you could compare the numbers for the listed subs w/ your numbers?

You should check out the 8w3 by JL audio. I talked to WLAURENT before about them. He said they punch pretty hard and people like them. But goodluck.

The Boston 8" will fit no problem - you may have to open up the mounting diameter a little (depending on what sub was in the one you purchased).
